The 2nd Asia Impact Dialogue : Alternative Solution for Ageing Asia - Building a Path for the Elderly to be Social Asset

         

 

 

Fukuoka, 29th August - 1st September, The Sasakawa Peace Foundation(SPF) and Asian Aging Business Center took place Aug 29 until sept 1 in Fukuoka, Japan, with the theme "The 2nd Asia Impact Dialogue Workshop: Alternative Solution for Ageing Asia - Building a Path for the Elderly to be Social Asset".
The event was attended by a representative from Asian countries and the local community. The aim was to share Japan's knowledge and experience with Asia as the front runner of ageing population. In the same time, the current situation of active ageing in Asia has been shared and discussed. Participants were also taken to several senior community centers and saw how the activities were carried out in each center. The event was then concluded by suggesting necessary activities and approaches in promoting active ageing in Malaysia. Director and Deputy Director from Universiti Malaysia Malaysia's MyAgeing Research Institute (MyAgeing), Professor Dr. Tengku Aizan Hamid and Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Siti Anom Ahmad were representative from Malaysia also attended this Workshop.
