PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Health has approved a new cluster identified as a senior nursing home cluster in Kuala Selangor that has infected three individuals.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said two cases were identified on May 17 as a result of the screening of senior care centers.
To date, 12 staff and 26 homeowners have been screened and all staff and 24 residents have received negative results.
"After nearly a month, the third case was diagnosed with COVID-19 from screening among patients with acute acute respiratory distress (SARI) and was admitted to Tanjung Karang Hospital on June 13," he said at a COVID-19 daily media conference here today.
