SERDANG, March 27 – Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has been selected to host the Global Money Week 2023 (GMW2023) Closing Program at the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) level. GMW2023 has taken place for a week from March 20 to March 26, 2023 simultaneously around the world. MyAgeing™ also collaborates with the Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM), UPM in filling the program throughout this week.
Various interesting activities have been planned including a forum, an intergenerational visit to the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery, the 'Know Thyself' Competition, as well as exhibitions from various agencies such as the Credit Counseling and Management Agency (AKPK), the Employees Provident Fund (KWSP), Financial Education Network (FEN), Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).
Director of MyAgeing™, Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Anom Ahmad said, GMW2023 is a global awareness raising campaign organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) held every year with the slogan 'Learn. Save. Earn'. The purpose of GMW2023 is to educate, especially young people in making prudent financial decisions with this year's special theme of 'Plan Your Money, Plant Your Future'.
MyAgeing™ has a MyAgeing™ Financial Literacy and Educational Hub (MyFiLE) which serves as a platform for translational research on financial education. MyFiLE offers services such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Program, Personal Financial Health Checks, Financial Coaching as well as conducting Webinar ‘Jom Belajar’ as well as finance-related courses.
