Guiding the Holy Month in the Ihya' Ramadan Program with the PAWE@MyAgeing Elderly Activities Center Organization

 

AMPANGAN, March 30 - The Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™), in collaboration with the Welfare and Socio-Economic Activities Association of the Members of the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyKase), the Wellbeing Research Centre (UCSI), and MyCDA, organized the Ihya' Ramadan Program with the PAWE@MyAgeing Elderly Activities Center Organization held at the Wakaf Pak Ngah Atan, Seremban. The program was attended by the patron of Wakaf Pak Ngah Atan, Pn. Hajah Hasnah Udin.

The program’s initiative aimed at providing a meaningful Ramadan experience that benefits the elderly involved, as well as supporting the needs and interests of the elderly to make the month of Ramadan a time full of blessings and joy for them. Various activities were planned throughout the program. The program started as early as 3 p.m. with welcoming remarks from Associate Prof. Dr. Roslan Rosnon, representing the Director of MyAgeing™, followed by a welcoming speech from Prof. Dr. Mansor Abu Talib, Director of the Wellbeing Research Centre, UCSI University.

A brief lecture entitled 'Ramadan and Emotional Management', delivered by Dr. Mohamad Naqiuddin Dahamat Azam, Associate Researcher of MyAgeing™, provided an opportunity for the elderly to deepen their religious knowledge and enhance their faith. In addition, a Tahlil ceremony and Tarawikh prayers were also held collectively.

In addition to the religious aspect, this program also included social activities aimed at strengthening social relationships among participants. These included the 'Square Stepping Activity' and 'Happiness Circle' conducted by the Wellbeing Research Centre, UCSI University. After the call to prayer, the guests broke their fast together, enjoying the delicious food provided.

 

 

 

Through this program, the organizers strive to create a meaningful Ramadan experience and benefit the elderly while ensuring they can feel the blessings and joy of this holy month in an environment that suits their needs and desires.
