Gerontechnology

Gerontechnology Program is an interdisciplinary research field and application involving gerontology, geriatric, scientific study of aging, technology, technologically based products, environments, universal industrial design and services. The goal of this program is to show how technology could be used in mandatory in improving quality life of older persons. This includes delaying or reducing the declining of cognitive, physical and perceptual ability of older persons. Areas of application include housing, personal mobility and transportation, communication, health, work, and recreation and self-fulfillment.
