
SETAPAK, 2 Nov – The Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) recently celebrated the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Graduation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 session. This half-day event was enriched by a Sharing Session titled "From Certification to Success: Unlocking Career Growth with the CFP Mark," by Mr. Lee Khee Chuan. The session aimed to inspire graduates by showcasing the career opportunities that the CFP designation can unlock, highlighting its significance as a professional recognition in financial planning.
Among the attendees were two notable graduates from the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing®ï¸) at Universiti Putra Malaysia: Muhamad Arif bin Hariffin and Dr. Ling Pick Soon, both of whom successfully passed the CFP examination for the June 2024 session. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Mohamad Fazdillah Bagat, Head of the Aged Care Experimentation Unit (ACE), who joined to celebrate the achievements of these exceptional graduates.
Since its inception in October 2021, MyAgeing®ï¸ has offered the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Program, starting with an initial cohort of 23 participants. This program is conducted twice a year, aiming to develop a new generation of Certified Financial Planners equipped to provide valuable financial education to the public.
