SERDANG, December 15 - The Malaysia Ageing Research Institute (MyAgeing™) received a visit from 35 individuals from the Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM, consisting of lecturers and students from the Creative Design Studio II course (IND3102). The purpose of this visit was to gain a deeper understanding of MyAgeing™'s role as a research entity related to the elderly and aging in Malaysia. The group was briefed on the crucial role of research in improving the quality of life for the elderly. The Director of MyAgeing™ expressed, "We are delighted to welcome these students to our institute. They bring enthusiasm and great interest in the field of product design, and we believe this experience will provide them with profound insights into the needs of product development for the elderly."
In addition to the presentations, students were given the opportunity to closely observe the facilities and amenities available at MyAgeing™. This provided them with the chance to gather more in-depth information regarding the services offered here. It is hoped that this experience will stimulate the students' interest and commitment to research, as well as their contributions to improving the well-being of society, especially among the elderly.
