“Timeless Passion” Art Exhibition Celebrates Lifelong Creativity and Active Ageing

Petaling Jaya, 20 April 2025 – The vibrant spirit of lifelong learning took centre stage as “Timeless Passion”, an inspiring art exhibition featuring works by members and the instructor of the University of Third Age (U3A) Malaysia’s Watercolour Painting Course, was officially launched by Associate Professor Dr. Rahimah Ibrahim, Director of MyAgeing, on 19 April 2025.

Held at Pro Art Gallery, Section 17, Petaling Jaya, the opening reception drew a lively crowd of art lovers, community members, and advocates of active ageing. The exhibition runs until 4 May 2025 and showcases a striking collection of watercolour artworks that blend personal passion with the transformative power of creative ageing.

In her officiating remarks, Dr. Rahimah praised the artists for their commitment and creativity, underscoring the role of the arts in fostering wellbeing, dignity, and purpose among older adults." This exhibition is not just about art—it’s about courage, reinvention, and the enduring human desire to express and connect,” she noted.

Open to the public, “Timeless Passion” invites all visitors to witness the enduring vitality of U3A Malaysia’s artistic community—where age is not a limit, but a canvas.

This initiative is proudly supported by U3A Malaysia, MyAgeing, Pro Art Gallery, Sinours, and Nanyang Book Company.
